- Yes, Linux is usually distributed with the GNU compiler, free for
- personal use. You can get it all on a ROM for < $15 rom a couple of sources,
- which I cant remember right now, or from ftp sites. I am not sure, but
- try oak.oakland.edu /simtel/linux

- GNU is supposed to be one of the best C compilers. LINUX is a freeware
- POSIX mimi-unix. Free for personal use. It was written by people all
- over the world, using the internet to keep in touch. The want to create
- a public domain operating ssytem, with published source code, as the
- common accepted operating system for the world. Bill Gates has cheated
- to much, hiding features in DOS and Windows just for Microsoft
- applications, amd setting "traps" for his competitors. Soon you will be
- able to run Win 3.1 apps in LINUX just like you can with OS/2.
